Los Vatos Vanquish Boneheads In High-Scoring Affair

There were runs aplenty on Sunday, as Los Vatos beat Boneheads 13-8. Los Vatos collected 24 hits, while Boneheads had 18.
Boneheads opened the scoring in the first after #98 grounded out, scoring one run.
Los Vatos took the lead, 2-1, in the top of the second thanks to singles by Tad Castellow, and Stephen Snyder.
#11 singled on an 0-2 count, which helped Boneheads tie the game at two in the bottom of the second.
Los Vatos captured the lead, 6-2, in the top of the third when Chuck Partridge doubled, scoring two runs, Angel Abarca doubled, scoring one run, and Adam Moore grounded out, scoring one run.
Boneheads scored five runs on five hits in the bottom of the ninth inning. #99 singled, scoring one run, #98 singled, scoring one run, #95 singled, scoring two runs, and Kevin Carswell induced #3 to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.
Mitch Doucette earned the win for Los Vatos. The starting pitcher allowed 12 hits and three runs over seven innings, striking out four and walking none. Alec Jordan tossed one inning of scoreless ball for Los Vatos in relief. The right-handed pitcher surrendered one hit, striking out one and walking none.
Los Vatos accumulated 24 hits in the game. Alfonso Ceja, Javy Aguilar, and Kevin Carswell each collected three hits for Los Vatos. Chuck Partridge went 2-for-4 at the plate and led the team with four runs batted in. Alec Jordan, Angel Abarca, Adam Moore, and Stephen Snyder each collected multiple hits for Los Vatos. Angel Abarca stole three bases. Los Vatos ran wild on the base paths, piling up six stolen bases for the game. Los Vatos didn't commit a single error in the field. Javy Aguilar had the most chances in the field with 10.
Boneheads piled up 18 hits in the game. #95, the number seven hitter for Boneheads, led the way with two runs batted in. #95 went 1-for-4 on the day. #4 and #11 each collected four hits for Boneheads. #99 and #9 each collected multiple hits for Boneheads. Boneheads turned one double play in the game.
