Los Vatos Roll Past Lugnuts

Los Vatos won big over Lugnuts 13-4 on Sunday at El Cajon Valley High School.
A single by Kevin Carswell put Los Vatos on the board in the top of the first.
#11 doubled down the left field line, which helped Lugnuts tie the game at one in the bottom of the first.
Los Vatos flipped the game on its head in the top of the fourth, scoring five runs on five hits to take the lead, 6-1. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by Angel Abarca that drove in two.
Mitch Doucette earned the win for Los Vatos. The starter allowed nine hits and two runs (one earned) over seven innings, striking out six and walking none. Mark Quinby and Tad Castellow each appeared in relief for Los Vatos.
Los Vatos accumulated 15 hits in the game. Angel Abarca and Chuck Partridge were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in three runs for Los Vatos. Alfonso Ceja went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Los Vatos in hits. Javy Aguilar, Mitch Doucette, and Kevin Carswell each collected multiple hits for Los Vatos.
Lugnuts piled up 13 hits in the game. #28 led Lugnuts with three hits in four at bats. #11, #5, #44, and #25 each drove in one run for Lugnuts. #9 collected two hits for Lugnuts in four at bats.
Next up for Los Vatos is a game against Homeboyz on Sunday.
